Did you know that in the past 3 months, the Fredericksburg SPCA has taken in 158 puppies? That means we have spent over $10,000 on medical expenses alone getting puppies healthy, vaccinated and spayed/neutered. 100% of our donations come from fundraising and donations, and we are always looking for unique ways to have fun and raise money to quite literally save lives! We are so excited to be putting together two very special events to spread the love this Valentine’s Day!
B101.5 & FredSPCA RADIOTHON:
GIVE A GREAT GIFT BY GIVING BACK! B101.5 radio is giving you a chance to become a Humane Hero while you give a great gift to your Valentine. For a donation to the Fred SPCA, you’ll get a chance to record a special Valentine’s Day message that will air on B101.5 February 11 – February 14 between 10am and 3pm. Tell the world how much you love your Valentine and help the neediest animals in our community at the same time!
IMPORTANT DETAILS: From Feb 11th – 13th, make your gift at www.fredspca/valentine. (*note url will not be live until those dates) Either make a one-time gift of $240 or become a monthly donor with a gift of $20 per month. Once your gift has been received the SPCA will send you a Secret Phone Number to call and record your 10 second message for your special Valentine! You must call within an hour of receiving the phone number to guarantee your message will get played. Donation Cut-off is February 13th at 5pm.
We’re so excited to be partnering with B101.5 on this special event! Join #TeamFREDSPCA today as a Humane Hero!
HOST A PUPPY PAWTY AT YOUR OFFICE:
Want a poochy to smoochy on Valentine’s Day? Spread the love to your office with an hour of puppy snuggles! The Fred SPCA will come with an armful of puppies to help your hard working staff feel the love on Valentine’s Day! Save the flowers and chocolates for another day – this is where the true love is!
The University of Southern California knows all about what a great impact having a pet break in the workplace can be! “Pets remind people to pause and step back from whatever they are involved in. Short walks, a little playtime, and temporary distractions allow mental breaks so as not to overwork and become stressed. Other companies, like Etsy, allow pets in the workplace to keep spirits high and add a little comic relief. Laughter and positivity is just as contagious as negativity and stress, but come with benefits like great morale and better communication. Studies prove that pets have calming effects, reduce blood pressure, lower stress, and make employees more cordial and productive.”
Valentine’s Day can be a difficult time for a lot of people. We aim to increase morale and spread the love that we see puppies give unabashedly, all while helping fundraise for homeless animals. Only 4 spots available for February 14th, email Syoung@fredspca.org to inquire about pricing and booking!
