Veterinarian

The Fredericksburg SPCA is on the cutting edge of an inspiring national movement to keep pets and their families together and is looking for an Associate Veterinarian to join our growing Medical Team. Are you interested in becoming part of our LIFE-SAVING efforts?

US: A non-profit clinic providing high-quality, low-cost medicine to members of our community including our rescue partners and P.E.T.S. clients. We take care of the overhead duties like staff management and inventory ordering so you can just practice the work you fell in love with! Animal Care Technician 

The Fredericksburg SPCA hosts more than one hundred animals at any given time, and our Animal Care Technicians are responsible for the daily cleaning, feeding, and provision of any medical treatments to the animals in our care. Employees will also be expected to assist staff and the public with handling animals. This is a great position for those looking to get their foot in the door and get hands on experience with animal handling, care and behavior. Matchmaker

The Fredericksburg SPCA hosts more than one hundred animals at any given time, and the Matchmaker has the unique position of learning the characteristics and demeanor of each animal to help match them with potential adopters. We are looking for enthusiastic applicants who understand that being an ‘animal person’ means being a ‘people person’ first. After all, you can’t help match over 1000 animals a year without being excited for the families that you are helping to create! There is a heavy emphasis on customer service and accountability.
