Holiday Open House

In conjunction with our Holiday Angels Trees around the community, we will also be having our annual Holiday Open House event!

The 2 day Open House will take place on Saturday, December 5 and Sunday, December 6 from 12:00 pm to 6:00 pm! There will be delicious food and drink, holiday decor, tours of the shelter, an appearance by Santa, and, of course, all of our adoptable dogs and cats!!

All you need is

If you have never been to our shelter, this is the perfect time to come and get acquainted! If you have been to our shelter before and just want to get in to the holiday spirit and mingle with the canines and felines, this is a great opportunity for that as well! If you have purchased donations for us from one of our Angel Trees around town, this is a nice time to drop them off and see who you’re helping!

We look forward to seeing familiar faces and new friends…come on out!

Holiday Angel Trees

The holidays are almost here! And with the upcoming holiday season, we will once again have Holiday Angel Trees up at local businesses and locations as well as in the shelter itself! See below for a full listing of all of our Angel Tree locations around town!

The Angel Trees will be on display from November 17th through December 31st. Each tree is decorated with the photo and holiday wish of a dog or cat currently in our shelter waiting for their forever homes!

You can choose an angel off the tree and either purchase the wished for item or donate the funds necessary for us to purchase it ourselves!

This is very important time of year for shelters and rescue organizations as we prepare for the coming year! Our community’s generosity at this time helps us to begin a new calendar better equipped to love and care for the countless animals that will come into our shelter in 2016!

Steak Out For Charity

Sedona Taphouse is the hottest new restaurant in downtown Fredericksburg and they have graciously chosen the Fredericksburg SPCA as the beneficiary for their ‘Steak Out for Charity’ campaign!

Every Monday through the month of November during lunch or dinner, order the Black Angus Flat Iron Steak with garlic whipped potatoes for just $6.00! This is a meal that would normally cost you $15.90! One dollar from every steak ordered will be donated to the animals of the SPCA!

Sedona Taphouse will also be collecting donations during the campaign, whether monetary donations or supplies for the shelter. See our wishlist here.

Sedona is located at 591 William Street in Downtown Fredericksburg, 22401. Please visit their Facebook page here!

Have a fabulous meal and night out and help support the SPCA too! Thank you Sedona Taphouse!

Sponsor An Animal

sponsored-featuredCats and dogs in our care stay with us until they find a home. On a daily basis, we care for approximately 220 cats and 100 dogs so you can imagine how much it costs just to feed that many mouths each day. In addition, we must pay for shelter and we also provide medical care, socialization and most of all LOVE! Please become a sponsor to one of these animals in need of your help.
