Fall Yard Sale

Our Fall Yard Sale is right around the corner!

This year’s Fall Sale will be held on Saturday, October 17 from 8 am to 3 pm and Sunday, October 18 from 12 pm to 3 pm. We will still be in Central Park just like past years sales but we have a brand new location – 1171 Central Park Boulevard, just past the Toys R’ Us in the two story office building across from Sport & Health!

If you would like to donate items to be sold at the yard sale, drop-off weekends start for Saturday, September 12 from 10 am to 3 pm and Sunday, September 13 from 12 pm to 3 pm at the yard sale site. Drop-offs will continue each weekend after that at the same times until the Yard Sale itself (September 19, 20, 26, 27, October 3, 4, 10 & 11)! All proceeds from items sold at the yard sale go right back to the shelter to help us keep running and saving more animals.

If you have any questions about the Yard Sale, including what items we will accept to be sold – please email our volunteer coordinator, Laura, at or call 540-898-1500 ext. 304.

17th Annual Walk for the Animals

Our 17th annual Walk for the Animals is set to be our best yet! Mark your calendars for Saturday, November 7 from 9:00 am to 2:00 pm and come participate in one of the SPCA’s most fun fundraising events!

The Walk will be held at our usual location, Maury Field in Downtown Fredericksburg, but the event itself will have lots of new and exciting changes! We will have vendors and booths for local, animal-friendly businesses including Dog Krazy and Calypso Kennels, as well as yummy food trucks including Beach Fries and music from Thunder 104.5 for pre- and post-walk festivities! We’ve even made changes to the walk route and will now be proudly walking our pooches through the heart of downtown Fredericksburg.

Remember this is a dog friendly event – We want and encourage you to bring your dogs! There will be water and rest stations along the route for your dogs to stay hydrated.

Walk pledge forms are available right here: Walk for the Animals 2015 Pledge Form

We also have a brand new, beautiful official logo for the event designed by Kristin Sestito of Fall Sprig Designs. Check out her portfolio and website here for all of your graphic design needs! Thank you, Kristin!

Walk pledge forms will be available for pick-up at the Fredericksburg SPCA as well as at many local businesses and right here on our website! Scroll up to download the form!

Then take your pledge form and start collecting donations! Ask friends, relatives, co-workers, neighbors to “sponsor” you by making a financial commitment for you to walk! All walkers are eligible to win prizes based on the total dollar amount collected and brought the day of Walk. All checks should be made out to the “Fredericksburg SPCA”. The first 100 Walkers with pledges of $50 or more receive an SPCA T-shirt!

There are also sponsorship opportunities available! See the infographic below for more details!

Sponsor An Animal

sponsored-featuredCats and dogs in our care stay with us until they find a home. On a daily basis, we care for approximately 220 cats and 100 dogs so you can imagine how much it costs just to feed that many mouths each day. In addition, we must pay for shelter and we also provide medical care, socialization and most of all LOVE! Please become a sponsor to one of these animals in need of your help.
